This has resulted in reducing our dependence on municipal water supplies by 3% on our plant. Wastewater management Our Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) system at Bidar facility is at the forefront of our wastewater management strategy i.e., to minimize the discharge of effluents by maximizing the recovery and reuse of water and treating the remaining waste to eliminate liquid discharge entirely. Through a series of Multiple Effect Evaporator (MEE), Agitated Thin Film Drier (ATFD), and Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant, we ensure that the effluents are converted into recyclable water, reducing the environmental load and conserving precious resources. Effluent per year (KL) Effluent disposal (%) • The rainwater drain network system is cleaned at regular intervals to effectively collect rainwater in the storage tank • Installation of a pre-treatment system for treating collected rainwater. The water is pre-treated, then filtered with a cartridge filter before being transported to the RO plant for further treatment • Revamping the reverse osmosis plant for further treatment of pre-treated rainwater • Setting up a dedicated storage tank in the existing ETP area to collect the pre-treated rainwater before being used by utilities.
