We ensure the safe disposal of hazardous waste by partnering with cement industries that are equipped to utilize it as an alternative fuel or raw material in their processes. By redirecting these materials away from landfills and repurposing them within a closed-loop system, we significantly minimize environmental impact while promoting resource efficiency. Through a comprehensive approach involving recycling, co-processing and incineration methods, we have successfully eliminated the need for waste disposal in landfills. This commitment aligns with our vision of promoting a circular economy, where resources are continuously reused, recycled, leaving zero waste destined for landfills. We have implemented a robust system for composting organic waste, such as food scraps and garden trimmings, within our facilities. This organic waste is processed into nutrient-rich compost, which is then repurposed as manure for our greenbelt areas. An in-house computational model, the greenness Index, has been developed to assess projects on water conservation, resource conservation, solvent management, and waste management. Our chemists design reactions and processes with improved efficiency, reduced waste, and lower environmental impact. Using an internally developed computational model, projects are assessed on their ‘Greenness Index’.
